Alternative Timber Structures is home to The Bead & Batten Door and Special Woods. We design and craft custom bead and batten, solid, wood doors by hand using mortise, tenon and pegging. Uniquely constructed, these doors combine classic style with sound woodworking principles and top quality materials. We work with a variety of woods, and encourage the use of reclaimed or recycled wood. Recycled wood is beautiful and full of character. If you are building green, talk to us about using recycled wood in your interior door package, exterior doors, trim, siding, stair ballisters and wherever else you may want wood accents. We handcraft custom wood doors, interior and exterior, of any size and will ship anywhere in the U.S. Our solid wood doors are great for traditional homes, timber frames and log cabins. For those building green, we offer special and recycled woods for doors, trim, and siding.
Alternative Timber Structures (ATS) is located in the small town of Driggs, Idaho, nestled below the Teton Mountain Range.
